Psychological Manipulation

What do these words mean? They simply mean confusing the brain to think that something is there but that thing actually isn't, sort of like a mirage. The reason why I am bringing up this topic is because a neighboring blog, Torc's Citron GT Concept, has the "Worlds Hardest Game". I think that it is actually psychological because in actual fact the game isn't that hard. It is as hard as any other game that you may encounter. Except it has one thing that makes sure you don't complete it. The game says that it is way too hard and should not even be attempted. That triggers in your brain a thought that you don't recognize. That thought actually prevents you from thinking that it is an easy game and thus the reason why people may never be able to complete it. I may be wrong but that is my sentiment. You are more than welcome to share your thoughts on any subject (that is appropriate for multiple age groups) and I will be ready and willing to have a discussion about it.

Adoption of Orphaned Animals

Hello and welcome to AEC Smarter Economics. I was just watching a commercial for adopting animals. I agree that every homeless animal should have a family to belong to. So, I have a job for my viewers. Thats includes you of course. I want every animal in the pounds to be adopted. Tell one and all to adopt an animal that is in need in your area. Animals deserve homes too. Please give a pet a home. Thanks.

Herbook

This is the very first post about herbs! Aren't you happy? I am. Any way, today I am talking about the herb mint.

This picture in particular is 'balm-mint'. Mint is used for many things. For example, I use mint in tea all the time. Mint helps cleanse the digestive system in the body. Mint is also, just good for you. :-)

Mint is used in food as well. It gives freshness to a dish. It is best served as a garnish on salads, cakes and decorative drinks.

Mint is great all by itself. Just gently rub the surface of the leaf and bring it to your nose and sniff it. It really feels fresh in your nose. It can be quite relaxing too.

Hello all! It's me Jello-Vera coming to you live from a computer near you! :-) I hope you are all having a splendid summer vacation! I know you are all anxious for my latest article on renewable energy but it is not ready yet. It will be before your school year starts! Ya!!!!!!! Have you all bought your school supplies and office supplies yet? Don't fret about all that, if you need some help I would be more than happy to give everyone some links for locations to get great buys! 

Personally, I think it is a little depressing, having school supplies for half off and lunch wear 50% off right in the middle of summer. We musty enjoy our vacation! Don't listen to all that hubbub about getting an early start on school and work. Be free for the next few weeks. Have picnics, parties and family gatherings because before you know it, work will be crowding your desk at home. So don't let it get you down on your summer fun! Bring out the old yellow and blue beach towel, and fancy swirly plastic drinking glasses and have fun in the sun like you used to as a kid!

Calling All Students! Do you hate home work that the teacher throws on you? Do you want more time with your family after school? If you do I have some awesome tips for you to tell your teacher. IMPORTANT: No More Alternative Energy!

Have you recently heard about what the governments are going to do with alternative energy? If you have you must agree that this is horrible, not only for the environment but also how we look. What I mean by that is, humans now look like they don't care about the environment and care more about money. Unfortunately, in this system, the only reason why the governments don't go to alternative energy is because they think it is to expensive. This is an introduction to another economical article. Integrating a new cat: part 2

Hello, this part two of my article about bringing a new cat to the family. If you followed each step correctly, and the older cat still mistreats the younger cat you have to take considerable action. My older cat, Duke, still mistreats Earl. However, when he does growl or strike Earl, we simply snap our fingers or call his name firmly. After that he stops and doesn't continue. Sometimes Earl starts it be violently playing with Duke. That is also unacceptable. You must train the kitten to learn to play gently by slapping him gently when he claws at the other cat, and small things like that should correct the problem. My next article will be about, why do the older cats let the younger cats beat them up? Stay tuned at AEC Smarter Economics.

My Ferret Alfie

Welcome to AEC economy watch and fresh topics.  I have a story to tell about one of my pets, Alfie (the ferret).  In this story I will tell you about my pet and how it was bad not to take care of him.

I had purchased Alfie when I found him being sold on the Internet. He was a kind but rough animal. I watched over him mostly until I got Duke, that's when I hardly ever looked over him. Although I did give him fresh food and water when he needed it, but I didn't take him for many walks. Winter soon came and I was worried that he would not survive the winter because of the cold. So I put an ad on the Internet that was soon seen by a new owner for Alfie. I felt terrible that he had to go, but I couldn't take care of him well enough.

This story is a lesson to all, never neglect your pet. If you did neglect your pet, don't worry to much, everyone makes mistakes. Just try to find a new home for your pet, so another owner can care and love it.

Live a Healthy Life!

Do you want to live for a long time, at least to a 100? If you wish to achieve such a goal, you must work for it. Here are the steps to living a healthy life:

• Eat healthy foods
• Get exercise
• Have a positive attitude 
• Always want to learn new things
• Breath fresh air
• Relax everyday 

These points explain themselves when you read them. But just to explain, you have to eat very healthy foods because your body needs the nutrients and vitamins that come from those foods. You obviously need exercise so your muscles and bones become stronger. Amazingly, having a positive attitude actually helps you live longer. Always wanting to learn new things helps refresh your mind. Refreshing your mind really helps to make you feel good and it helps to keep your brain active.  Your lungs need to keep that pink colour somehow! Why not refresh your lungs with fresh air. Go on nature trails where there are trees and plants and a beautiful scenery. While getting fresh air you also relax, and relaxing is as important as exercising. Your body needs time to rejuvinate or fix itself. That time happens when your asleep. When you are relaxing, you calm the body down and you get ready to go to sleep. That is about the most important tome of the day. So keep your body well kept and healthy. :)

Hello adoring fans of A.E.C.! I am in Vancouver, B.C. and I am glad to say that this is the city for tree huggers! I want every nature lover, tree hugger and Eco-maniac to know that if you truly love nature, you should move to Vancouver. I have found hybrid taxis, all organic restaurants and cafés all around here. Personally, this is the city for me. This city also holds lots of history of First Nation People, that interests me a lot also. I highly recommend this city, although it is very expensive. Info On Cats: Cat Obesity IMPORTANT!!

Today on info on cats, I will be talking about a very important matter. A lot of cats are becoming larger than ever before. Some people may think this is a new breed or CGI. But this problem is much worse than that. Cats who exceed a certain size is dangerously overweight. You at all costs must protect your cat from this hazard. Feed your cat at designated feeding times, no more than 3 times a day. Make your cat do lots of physical exercise. Don't give your cat fatty snacks, I only give my cats ALL NATURAL snacks. Be more considerate to your cat, don't purposely give your feline health problems. Ways to check if your cat is not overweight:

• If you can feel your cats ribs with a gentle touch, your cat is normal
• If your cat still likes to run around and be active
• Your cat is moderately easy to pick up

Take a minute to inspect your cats health. Doing so will limit the chance of cat obesity. Keep your cat healthy, he will live longer and give your cat lots of love.

Has anyone heard about the new TV series, Splatalot? I have seen an episode of the show. Personally, I don't care much for that kind of entertainment. No Italy

I am sorry to say, my loyal viewers, that I will not be going to Italy for 4 months. I new it was  way to good to be true. The road trips, the leaning tower of pisa, and the food. I had so many plans for this vacation. Well, at least I can stay home. Sorry for getting your hopes up.

A loyal viewer has kindly given me a comment that I would gladly answer. Where can you find tabby cats? You can get tabby cats almost anywhere. They are the most popular cats around. But in actual fact, tabby is a colour not a breed. Although I am not sure what the breed they are so I just use its colour instead. But as I said before, you can adopt a tabby cat at any pet store you can find. But make sure to read my next article: Info on Cats: How do you pick the right cat? Info On Cats: Do Cats Lose Their Their Teeth?

Welcome to my vast collection of articles based on cats. This time I will bring to your attention, do cats lose their teeth? Just an hour ago, I found a miniature tooth. I, personally, was grossed out at this sight. But when I looked at Earl's mouth, I noticed that he lost his tooth. Kittens are just like children, they play, they get hurt, they sound so adorable when they meow, and they lose their teeth. I am now making a collection of tiny teeth, so if you find a small tooth, it probably is your kittens tooth. So there is no need to worry of your kitten has lost his/her tooth, just don't get grossed out like I did. ☺

I am a cat lover. I have two of my own cats that I love dearly. A lot of cats or any other animals today don't have a warm home or a loving owner. Now, loving your pet is ESSENTIAL if your pet is to have good health. Every human being and animal needs to know that someone loves it very much. So if you have a cat, dog, bird, lizard or any animal, love him/her very much. No animal deserves to live without a friendly owner. So, every person in the world should take his/her pet once every day and cuddle or hug him to let him know that he has a wonderful home. Spread the love every day!

Movie Review: Tron Legacy

Hello movie lovers, in addition to this blog I will be posting simple movie reviews for the latest films. Today I will start with Tron. It has been out for a while now, but if you read this you can consider buying the movie.

Tron

I have watched Tron Legacy with the prior knowledge of Tron the original movie. Tron Legacy is about Flynn's son entering the grid while looking for his father. When he gets onto the grid he learns about the vast games that he has to complete and what danger is involved with finding his father. This action filled movie has a good story line and is great for movie nights. Tron Legacy isn't a direct continuation with Tron (the original motion picture). 

As for the animation features, it is a must-see. The animation looks so real on a 3D screen, I highly recommend seeing this movie on a 3D screen. If your looking for an action filled, 3D motion picture for the family, I highly recommend this movie for all(ages 12+).  

Natural : Organic

Natural is a very raw, rugged word that I like to use very often. I am definitely not one of those people who like the pink and plastic, a very unnatural style. I like the organic, very down to earth style. I like bamboo as a home, on the mountains near a crystal clear lake. That is the type of home I would like. I think organic and all natural food is much healthier, granted it is smaller than the genetically modified foods that most of us purchase, but think about how much better it is when you eat it and it tastes fresher. That is entirely my opinion. My favorite colors are a leaf green, a deep crystal blue and purple. I think pink is a very boring, over used color. There is nothing organic about it. A green or light brown, the color of soil is nice. There is nothing I like more than a natural, all organic lifestyle.

I can't believe that it is 2011 already! Time to crack out our calenders! Unfortunately, there is no snow to go sledding on or for snowball fights. We will just have to make due with whatever snow we have left. Have fun, and make sure to tell all of your friends about A.E.C. Economy Watch!
